The famed Bluenose Schooner, used the dory trawl method for fishing, carrying eight dories, each manned by two crew members, called dorymen, to fish the Grand Banks. They weathered the worst of weathers and are still an important part of our Maritime heritage. Visit the Dory Shop when you are in Lunenburg where they are still made.
