Gale is well known for her glowing watercolours. She frequently combines watercolour & ink. The luminosity of the white paper, the depth achieved with multiple layers of transparent paint and the subtle details provided by the ink are vital in her work. The results can be very lively but controlled paintings, or quite vivid, light hearted and bright.
